3 super smoothies

I was live on The Morning Show a few weeks ago for Urban Remedy, presenting three lovely smoothie recipes, so I thought I’d share them with you.

Detox smoothie
A deliciously green smoothie to spring-clean your insides.

  • Clears toxins from the body
  • Promotes liver regeneration
  • Cleanses and soothes the digestive tract
  • Supports regular elimination

  • 300ml coconut water
  • 1/4 cup dandelion
  • 1/2 cup kale
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 papaya
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 5 drops liquid milk thistle

Immunity smoothie
The perfect smoothie to get you through that last stretch of winter.

  • Boosts immune health
  • Promotes digestive wellbeing
  • Combats bloating
  • Supports detoxification

  • 300ml chilled ginger tea
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1/2 cup chopped spinach
  • 2 peaches
  • 1 nectarine or apricot
  • 1/2 lemon
  • finely chopped fresh ginger to taste
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp probiotic powder

Beautify smoothie
A gorgeous smoothie to make your skin glow from the inside out.

  • Boosts skin health with potent antioxidants
  • Promotes immunity with vitamins and minerals
  • Supports the digestive tract
  • Reduces inflammation

  • 300ml chilled white tea
  • 1/4 cup fresh spinach
  • 1/4 cup kale
  • 1/2 mango
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup mixed berries
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp raw acai

Preparation tip
For all of the above recipes, chill the liquid component – coconut water or tea – in the fridge for half an hour (or overnight if you prefer). For the teas, simply brew them, remove the tea bag or leaves, and then pop them in the fridge in a jug, glass or mason jar. The rest is easy: just chop your ingredients, chuck them in the blender, blend, serve and enjoy.
