A large proportion of adults experience lower back pain resulting from muscle spasm, and damaged intervertebral disks, ligaments or bones. Herniated, prolapsed and slipped disk are all names for the same problem. Other systemic issues such as prostate, kidney, bladder and female pelvic problems can also cause back pain.
