A Q&A with Robert Wong from White Glo
WellBeing speaks to Robert Wong from White Glo, one of Australia’s leading toothpaste and teeth whitening brands. White Glo has also recently introduced a natural formulation to the Australian market which is completely free of harsh chemicals, SLS and parabens.
How did your brand come to be and when?
White Glo was established in 1993 and was the first brand to introduce teeth whitening products to Australian supermarkets.
What was the initial vision for your brand? Has that changed over time?
The initial vision was to supply the products only to people in the film industry, for example, professional actors and models. However, news of our product’s effectiveness spread quickly and there was a lot of consumer demand from other people.
Where did the brand name come from?
The brand name reflects that we wanted consumers to enjoy a glow of confidence from having whiter teeth.
What/Who are your products suitable for?
Our products are suitable for everyone over the age of 12.
What are some of your favourite products in your range?
Our pure and natural toothpaste is my favourite product in our range. I’m quite sensitive to harsh chemicals and my skin breaks out in rashes from allergies quite easily. This product is a natural formulation free from SLS and parabens which is great to use for my daily brush while still whitening my teeth.
Where do you source your ingredients?
We source our ingredients from leading suppliers all over the world.
Can you tell us a little more about the ingredients in your products? Why is this important?
We only use the highest quality ingredients in our formulations. This ensures our customers get the best results and is why we received a No. 1 rating from Canstar Blue this year.
What’s next for your brand?
We have some exciting new products in the natural space that we are sure will appeal to consumers! I can’t say too much at this stage! You will just have to wait and see.
