A Q&A with the team from Herbal Fix

A Q&A with the team from Herbal Fix who make functional beverages

Credit: Herbal Fix

We speak to the team from Herbal Fix who create “drinks with benefits”. Established in 2017, Herbal Fix is Australia’s first range of “functional beverages” scientifically-formulated by a team of food scientists. Each product in the Herbal Fix range combines a unique blend of organic herbs, vitamins, minerals and additional supplements, to promote a specific aspect of health and wellbeing.

How did your brand come to be and when?

Herbal Fix was introduced to market in 2017. It was established in Sydney, with the help of a compounding pharmacist, food scientist and an idea to make the power of herbs mainstream. The company’s founder has been an active herbalist for many years and he knows the power of herbs all too well. Our small team have taken a step beyond energy drinks to introduce “functional beverages”, or “Drinks with Benefits” as we call it, to the Australian market.

What was the initial vision for your brand? Has that changed over time?

After an intense four years of product development, the Herbal Fix range was born and comprises six nutritious and delicious beverages. The range includes Beauty, Shape, Focus, Love, Active and Relax. Each drink contains a unique blend of organic herbs, vitamins and minerals, with a specific benefit to revitalise your mind and body.

Today, Herbal Fix has partnered with 7-Eleven Australia into over 600 stores across the Eastern Seaboard, over 300 independent non-supermarket stores in NSW and Coles Local.

Our mission is to produce a range of great tasting herbal beverages, with proven health benefits, to enhance your life and to complement the healthy lifestyles we are all quickly moving towards. Our motto is “Fix more than your thirst”.

Where did the brand name come from?

“Herbal” – Each beverage in the Herbal Fix range is made with a unique blend of organic herbs, vitamins and minerals.

“Fix” – Our beverages offer an array of benefits and solutions beyond hydration, using healthier ingredients and added value. Value can come in the form of stimulation for a particular function or purpose or aspect of health and wellbeing. The Herbal Fix range offers an array of benefits including: Beauty (Skin Nourishment), Shape (Exercise Performance), Focus (Mental Functioning), Love (Aphrodisiac), Relax (Calm) and, Active (Energy).

What/Who are your products suitable for?

Research would suggest that consumers are placing more value on their health and wellbeing than on material objects these days and the definition of health and wellness has evolved. The phrase no longer refers simply to a lack of illness and disease, but to a more holistic state of being, where one’s mental, physical and emotional health is in sync. It seems that people are spending on a holistic approach to health and wellness that includes nearly every aspect of life, even sleep. This is why Herbal Fix beverages are so relevant in this current climate, because each beverage in our range designed to target a specific area of wellness, covering health of the mind, body and even spirit.

Our products are suitable for consumers who prefer Australian-made, natural, additive-free food and as a healthier alternative to some of the other beverages on the market.

What are some of your favourite products in your range?

Beauty is my favourite of the Herbal Fix range; it’s extremely tasty and includes the most nutrient-dense ingredients – it has up to 8 vitamins inside, which is more than some multi-vitamins on the market!

Where do you source your ingredients?

Herbal Fix beverages are produced in Melbourne, VIC within a certified organic (NASA certified) factory environment. We are 100% Australian owned and made from at least 90% Australian ingredients.

Can you tell us a little more about the ingredients in your products?

Herbs contain a large number of naturally occurring substances that have biological activity and compounds from plants. For thousands of years, herbal remedies have been successful in keeping people healthy and vital. Herbal remedies can offer significant health transformations and they remain the first choice for many cultures. Today, there is a growing body of modern scientific knowledge showing that herbs can play and effective role in preventative and pro-active approach to healthcare.
