11 Sustainable Gender-Neutral Labels To Have On Your Radar
The WILD edit of sustainable, gender-neutral labels to inspire your wardrobe refresh — because everyone deserves to feel at home in their own body.

There has been a major societal shift in recent years against gender norms, and towards fluidity and diversity. We are all beginning to rethink the binaries of male and female, and masculine and feminine — and as these traditional gender roles evolve, so too does the fashion world.

At the forefront of this pivot is a wave of up-and-coming sustainable fashion brands with both diversity and ethics in mind. These indie labels are rewriting the playbook of fashion with androgynous style that eschews binaries and instead is designed to make everyone who wears their garments feel confident, empowered and effortlessly stylish.

Here, we’ve rounded up our favourite certifiably sustainable, gender-neutral labels (that are actually available to shop in Australia) to inspire your wardrobe refresh — because every body deserves to feel at home in their own skin.

HoMie

Streetwear staples have never looked better thanks to Fitzroy-based social enterprise HoMie. Not a single piece in the HoMie range is gendered, designed to look good on anyone and everyone who wears them, and the brand is all about making real change and donates 100 per cent of profits to support people experiencing homelessness or hardship. All leftover seasonal stock from HoMie releases is donated to people affected by homelessness, or upcycled along with other pieces sourced from op shops, second-hand stores and textile factories to produce the HoMie REBORN collection.
