Eggs and the big breakfast fry-up

After a big night of partying, there’s nothing quite as satisfying as laying out a big homecooked breakfast. Whether it’s the saltiness of the bacon, the runny texture of perfectly poached or scrambled eggs, the tang of tomato, olive oil and basil and or garlic mushrooms —quite likely, all of the above — it is grounding food to arm your guests with the necessary wherewithal to face the new day.

Eggs are one of our original superfoods. Their nutritional content is incredible, with all the vitamins except C, amino acids and minerals; they are low in saturated fats and are, of course, a fantastic source of protein. Like Kryptonite and other superfoods, they’re recommended in moderation and, unless you’re a road worker, sumo wrestler or body builder, that means don’t eat them every day.
