Ingredients

Method

  • 1 bag Herman Brot® Low Carb Pasta
  • 3 cups spinach leaves
  • 15 cherry tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp basil pesto
  • ⅛ cup pine nuts
  1. Cook Herman Brot® Low Carb Pasta in boiling water for 10 mins.
  2. Toast pine nuts in hot non-stick pan.
  3. When pasta is cooked, drain and stir through spinach, tomatoes, pesto and pine nuts.

Turkey, Chilli & Coriander Burgers

Ingredients

Method

  • 500g turkey breast mince
  • 1 long red chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
  • ⅓ cup coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 shallots, finely sliced
  • 4 HermanBurger Protein Buns
  • 40g baby rocket
  • 1 large carrot, grated
  • 2 Lebanese cucumbers, peeled into ribbons
  • Coriander and chilli sauce, to serve
  1. Combine turkey mince, chilli, coriander, garlic and shallots in large bowl and season with cracked pepper.
  2. Mix until well combined and shape into 4 patties.
  3. Place onto tray lined with baking paper, cover and chill for at least 20 mins.
  4. Preheat greased barbecue hotplate over medium heat. Grill patties for 5–6 mins each side, until golden and cooked through. Cover and keep warm.
  5. Lightly toast HermanBurger Protein Buns (if desired), then layer with rocket, grated carrot, cucumber and a patty.
  6. Top with coriander leaves and extra chilli if desired and drizzle with sweet chilli sauce.

Vegie Burger with Avocado

Ingredients

Method

  • 2 cups mashed sweet potato (about 500g raw)
  • 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables, steamed
  • 1 tsp Tuscan seasoning
  • 1 tsp basil pesto
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • Olive-oil cooking spray
  • Avocado Salsa:
  • 1 medium avocado, chopped
  • ¼ cup chopped shallots
  • 1 small tomato, diced
  • 2 tbsp coriander, roughly chopped
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • ~
  • 4 HermanBurger Protein Buns
  • Soft lettuce leaves, to serve
  • 8 sliced canned beetroot, to serve
  1. Combine all patty ingredients, except sesame seeds, in large bowl and mix thoroughly.
  2. Wet hands and shape into 4 equal patties.
  3. Sprinkle evenly with sesame seeds and place in fridge to chill for at least 5 mins.
  4. Place all salsa ingredients in medium bowl, stir lightly and set aside.
  5. Spray non-stick frying pan with olive oil and set on medium heat.
  6. Add chilled patties and cook for 4–5 mins each side, or until golden brown.
  7. Fill each fresh HermanBurger Protein Bun with lettuce, beetroot slices and a vegie patty and top with avocado salsa.
