Ingredients

  • 2-3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tbsp dried chamomile flowers
  • 1 tsp dried ginger root (optional)
  • 1 tbsp mint leaves
  • 3 cups filtered water
  • Honey, to sweeten (optional)

Method


  • In a saucepan, boil the water then reduce to a simmer.
  • Break up the cinnamon sticks and add them to the pan along with chamomile flowers, ginger root and mint. Stir.
  • Steep for 20-30 mins (the longer, the stronger the flavour).
  • Remove from heat and strain.
  • Drink 1 to 4 cups a day, hot or cold. Sweeten with honey if desired.
