Ginger-Turmeric Elixir
This powerful elixir combines ginger and turmeric, two anti-inflammatory power houses, with honey and lemon for a soothing, energising drink.

Ingredients
- 2cm fresh ginger, peeled & sliced
- 2cm fresh turmeric root, peeled & sliced (or 1 tsp turmeric powder)
- 2 cups water
- 1 tbsp honey
- Juice 1 lemon
Method
- In a small saucepan, combine the ginger, turmeric and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 mins.
- Strain the liquid into a cup, discarding the solids.
- Stir in honey and lemon juice.
- Drink warm for a comforting, anti-inflammatory boost.
- Or, allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 1–2 hrs until chilled.
