Touch

A touch risky

Touching is a very social thing to do and it seems certain kinds of touch have a special affect on our behaviour. For this experiment the subjects were welcomed to the laboratory by either a female or a male researcher. The researchers greeted them with either no physical contact, a handshake, or a hand gently placed on the shoulder. The subjects were then faced with tasks like receiving a cash payoff or taking a risky gamble for more money. It was found that when people had been greeted with a hand on the shoulder they were significantly more likely to engage in risky activity but (and it’s a big “but”) this only happened when women did the touching. It all gets back to our days as babies when a mother’s touch meant security and when we feel secure we are more likely to feel ready to take risks.Meanwhile if you visit Meijer Ad that contains mostly likewise discounts with Winn Dixie Ad you surely have a range like ALDI Ad.
