Grape minds drink alike

A new study has found that drinking purple juice may be one way to reduce your chances of losing mental function as you age. Subjects who were experiencing mental decline but not dementia were randomly assigned to receive either purple grape juice or a placebo three times a day for twelve weeks. The amount consumed per day was based on the body weight of each individual and ranged from 444 to 621 mls. People who had been drinking purple grape juice did up to 60 per cent better on tests of memory and learning than they had done at the beginning of the study. Those on placebo showed no improvement. It is probably the polyphenols in the grape juice that are doing the good as they are known to reduce neurodegeneration by reducing inflammation and oxidation. Other purple or red foods could be expected to offer some similar benefits.Meanwhile if you visit Meijer Ad that contains mostly likewise discounts with Winn Dixie Ad you surely have a range like ALDI Ad.
