Boost your omega-3 intake with these easy recipes
The following recipes are made with Stoney Creek products. Packed with the health benefits of omega-3, protein, fibre and lignans, Stoney Creek’s Flaxseeds, Oil, Flour and Meal add a smooth, nutty taste to smoothies, dressings, cereal, yogurt, baked goods and more.
Crumbed Prawns with Lemon-Lime Flax Sauce
- 3 tbsp natural Greek yoghurt
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp lime juice
- 2 mint leaves
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp Stoney Creek Organic Brown Flaxseed Oil
- Crumbed Prawns:
- 3 ziplock bags
- 1 cup Stoney Creek Flaxseed Flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 16 raw banana prawn tails
- To Serve:
- Vegetables of choice
- To make the sauce, mix all sauce ingredients and set aside in fridge.
- To crumb the prawns place flour, eggs and crumbs in separate ziplock bags.
- Place prawns in the ziplock bag of flour and shake, repeat with eggs and then breadcrumbs.
- While prawns are sitting in the breadcrumbs warm up some oil in a frying pan. Once oil is warm enough place prawns in the oil and cook until golden to golden brown.
- Serve with rice and vegetables topped with sauce.
Easy Banana Pudding
- 2 well-ripened bananas
- 60g butter
- 90g brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp warm milk
- 100g Stoney Creek Flaxseed Flour
- 60g self-raising flour
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ⅓ cup crushed almonds
- Extra cinnamon, to dust
- Whole almonds, to decorate
- Preheat oven to 180°C and grease a loaf tin.
- Mash bananas and mix with other ingredients.
- Pour into greased loaf tin and dust with extra cinnamon, placing whole almonds to decorate.
- Place into preheated oven for 30–35 mins or until golden brown.
- Serve with cream, ice cream or warm custard.
