Ingredients
- 600mL organic cream
- 125mL (½ cup) organic milk
- 1 banana
- ¼ cup honey
- 8 Medjool dates, pitted
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 6 tsp Cell Squared Organic Beef Organs Powder
Method
- Place the cream in a large bowl. Using an electric beater, whip until soft peaks form (when the cream starts to leave ribbons, but the peaks still collapse). Do not overbeat. A hand whisk works too.
- Add the remaining ingredients, including the Organic Beef Organs Powder, to a blender and blend until smooth. If you don’t have a blender, use a stick blender.
- Tip: if it’s your fi rst time using Beef Organs Powder, start with a smaller amount, stir through and taste before gradually increasing to suit your preference.
- Pour the blended mixture into the whipped cream and whip through until soft peaks form again.
- Pour the mixture into a standard loaf tin. Knock out any air, then use a spoon to flatten the surface. Cover with cling wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface to prevent ice crystals forming.
- Freeze for 4 hrs for the best texture. If leaving overnight, allow the ice cream to defrost on the bench for at least 10 mins before scooping. Heat the ice cream scoop in hot water first.
- Alternatively, freeze in individual portions (small bowls or cups, covered with cling wrap), which will need minimal softening time before serving.
