Strawberry Cream Puffs

Ingredients

  • 2 pieces puff pastry
  • Intense Strawberry Spread
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 cup thickened cream
  • 2 tbsp icing sugar, or more to taste
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • Icing sugar
  • Fresh strawberries

Method


  • Preheat oven to 190°C.
  • Cut out heart shapes in the puff pastry. Repeat but use a smaller heart cutter to hollow out the inside.
  • Top each hollowed puff pastry on top of each full heart and poke holes in the bottom. Brush with egg wash and bake for 15 mins or until golden brown.
  • While baking, whisk together thickened cream and icing sugar to make whipped cream.
  • Once cooled, fill each pastry with Intense Strawberry Spread, whipped cream and top with additional Strawberry Spread or fresh strawberries.
  • Dust with icing sugar and enjoy!
