Sweeten if you must and finish with a wedge of lemon.
Sweeten your tea with honey or another natural sweetener such as stevia but if you have diabetes or difficulty regulating your blood sugar you may need to give sweeteners a miss. If you are taking blood thinners, such as warfarin, be aware that ginger contains salicylate, which naturally thins the blood. People with bleeding disorders should also take note. Consuming large daily doses of ginger, or more than 2 grams, may give you an upset stomach. Always check with your natural practitioner as to what you should take that is best for you.
