The future of dentistry

If you don’t enjoy the sound of machinery and the whiff of burning emanating from your mouth then you may not be a huge fan of your dentist. There is no doubt that modern dentistry is a relatively painless, if often uncomfortable, thing. Yet having a filling could still not be counted as one of the joys of life and for some it is still a terror. That is why the next big revolution in dental care is going to bring an unnaturally white smile to many faces. It seems that fillings may be a thing of the past for many of us if the new technology is all that it seems. Every year dentists save millions of teeth by drilling and filling. They have a high success rate with this but some researchers wondered whether a better approach might be to remove diseased dental pulp and encourage healthy tooth tissue to regrow. They decided to see if a substance that occurs naturally in the body and which has been shown to regenerate bone might do the trick. The substance is MSH (melanocyte-stimulating hormone). They found that a gel coating only 1/50 000th the thickness of a human hair which contained MSH could help regenerate dental pulp. By applying the gel to human dental pulp fibroblasts (cells that produce the materials that form new tooth tissue), they found an increase in cells and an increased capacity to produce new tooth material. In tests done on mice it has been found that the film could repair tooth cavities within a month. It seems the drills and spills of dentistry might soon be replaced with gels and spells.Meanwhile if you visit Meijer Ad that contains mostly likewise discounts with Winn Dixie Ad you surely have a range like ALDI Ad.
