This dessert is so delicious you will not believe it is healthy. Make sure to use ripe avocados and blend them well to ensure the mousse has a silky-smooth consistency. This recipe is features in Eat Well Magazine 61

Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe avocados, peeled & stoned
  • ¼ cup raw cacao powder
  • 2 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 3 tbsp raw honey or maple syrup
  • 1⁄3 cup coconut cream
  • 150g dark chocolate, melted & cooled
  • Grated dark chocolate & fruit, to serve

Method


  • Place avocados, cacao powder, vanilla, honey and coconut cream in a food processor or blender and blend until smooth.
  • Add melted dark chocolate and blend for 10 secs or until just combined
  • Spoon mousse into dessert glasses and place them in fridge before serving. Serve with extra grated dark chocolate to garnish and extra fruit if desired.
