Brain - neurons

Growing brains

One of the great medical misconceptions of the 20th century was that you did not grow new brain cells. The last two decades have shown that in the olfactory bulb (smell) and the hippocampus (memory and cognitive processes), new neurons can grow throughout life. To see if health promoting foods might stimulate neuron growth researchers fed a cream containing polyphenol compounds (from foods like tea, grapes, wine, olive oil, cocoa, beer, nuts, fruits and vegetables) and polyunsaturated fatty acids (from fish, corn, soy beans and sunflower seeds) to one group of mice. Another group was given a normal diet. After 40 days (equivalent to five years in humans) those fed the polyphenols and polyunsaturated fats had significantly higher rates of neuron growth. If you have fixed on beer and wine from the list above, remember that above two standard drinks daily, the negative effects of alcohol may outweigh the polyphenol benefits.Meanwhile if you visit Meijer Ad that contains mostly likewise discounts with Winn Dixie Ad you surely have a range like ALDI Ad.
