The link between writing and weight loss

We sometimes eat to fulfill certain needs. We consume certain foods – like a tub of ice cream or chocolate bar because they elicit a response in the body that makes us feel good.

When we write in our journals, we reveal our pent up feelings and emotions. By getting these thoughts out of our mind and onto paper, we can help relieve stress. This can also help us to stop eating foods that replicate that ‘good feeling’ or that we turn to for comfort.

WellBeing TV’s, Terry Robson and Sherry Strong discuss whether writing can be linked to weight loss. Do you keep a journal? What do you think?
