I was very lucky to be given a personal secret Wakey Shaky recipe from the owner of local Byron Bay brand, Surly Jim’s Cold Brew Coffee. This recipe is a modified version of his favourite morning pick-me-up.

Serves: 1



  • 330mL bottle cold-brew coffee
  • 1 handful raw macadamias
  • 2 medjool dates
  • 1 frozen banana
  • ¼ cup almond milk
  1. Place all ingredients in high-powered blender and blitz until smooth.
  2. Serve immediately.
