Agnosia

Agnosia is the inability to recognise familiar objects and people, and it can be limited to one sense such as hearing or vision. Agnosia affects occipital and parietal lobes of the brain that are responsible for processing information received through vision and other senses.

Causes: stroke, dementia, neurological disorders.
