Sebaceous cyst

Sebaceous cysts are slow growing skin growths that contain oil and skin proteins. These cysts commonly grow on the face, scalp or back. A whitehead is considered to by a micro-sebaceous cyst. Sebaceous cysts are usually firm, and they rarely hurt unless they are infected. These cysts are benign, and they can become chronic if a bacterial infection sets in.
