Transform your life: Be who you want to be

Are you the person you want to be or do you often find yourself thinking you’d like to be different in some way? Maybe more confident, more social, more desirable or just happier?

There are not too many people on earth who are 100 per cent happy with who they are. Many people have a desire to change who they are so they can lead a happier and more fulfilling life, especially if what they want to change is holding them back in some way.

Consider low self-esteem or low self-worth.  If you feel this way about yourself, it is holding you back in a major way and preventing you from having everything that you deserve in life. We were all born with the same abilities to feel peace, love and happiness about ourselves and our lives, but often we get lost along the way and forget this.

When you get lost in life you forget the essence of who you really are and you accept your current reality as your only option. This is when you need to transform your life and make the changes necessary in order to feel great.

So what does it mean to transform your life? It means fixing the things in you that need to be fixed in order for you to be happy, healthy and content in life. To transform your life means increasing your self-esteem, increasing your feelings of worthiness, learning about yourself, accepting who you are, creating goals and dreams, achieving and being successful, and so on.  For each of us it is something slightly different; yet at the same time many of our desires overlap with those of others a lot.

My journey into this work, as well as into doing a total overhaul by transforming my own life, arose out of my desire to be truly happy and fulfilled on all levels. I needed a soul makeover and wanted to get back to basics and rebuild myself again from the ground up.

If you choose to transform your life on any level, you will reap the benefits. It will allow you to be who you want to be and love that person inside and out, to accept yourself and cut yourself some slack. It will also allow you to live an inspired and passionate life, have successful relationships and get what you want out of life.

Here are a few tips if you want to transform your life in some way:

  • Make a list of what you would like to change. What is it about yourself that you wish was different? Make sure you note what you want to change and also how you would like the change to be. It’s important to keep the goal in sight.
  • Start spending time visualising what your life would be like if you were different. The subconscious mind does not know the difference between what is real and what is imagined, so visualisation is a powerful tool for you to use to get things going and to know when the result you’ve been seeking shows up.
  • Try to get to the bottom of why you are the way you are. What experiences do you think lead to you having this part of you that you want to change? If you can locate where the problem comes from inside yourself, it will make transforming it much easier and quicker.
  • Don’t go overboard or get overwhelmed with your list. Many things are all tied into each other. For example, low self-worth can affect your self-esteem, your relationships and your work life. So this one issue shows up in many areas, there are not three separate issues. If you have a list with 20 things on it, you are not going to feel very confident that you can resolve them. Stick with fewer than five and look for patterns.

If you choose to transform your life, you will never regret it. I loved the process (and the results!) so much that I wanted to help others do it as well. It is your birth right and you can achieve it.
