Sashimi with Sweet Ginger Dressing & Radish

If I have fish that is fresh enough, then sashimi or ceviche is what I will naturally gravitate towards. It was served as a dish at my wedding, then more recently for my daughter’s 18th. This is one of many different versions you can play with.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp tamari
  • 1 tsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Juice ½ lime
  • ¼ garlic clove, finely grated
  • ¼ tsp finely grated ginger
  • 100g sashimi-grade kingfish, salmon or tuna, thinly sliced across grain
  • Radish, cut into matchsticks, to serve
  • Micro herbs, to serve

Method


  • Combine tamari, mirin, olive oil, sesame oil and lime juice, garlic and ginger in a small bowl. Whisk to combine.
  • Arrange fish beautifully on a platter, drizzle over a little of the dressing and top with radish and micro herbs. Finish with remaining dressing to serve.
