Sashimi with Sweet Ginger Dressing & Radish
If I have fish that is fresh enough, then sashimi or ceviche is what I will naturally gravitate towards. It was served as a dish at my wedding, then more recently for my daughter’s 18th. This is one of many different versions you can play with.

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp tamari
- 1 tsp mirin
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Juice ½ lime
- ¼ garlic clove, finely grated
- ¼ tsp finely grated ginger
- 100g sashimi-grade kingfish, salmon or tuna, thinly sliced across grain
- Radish, cut into matchsticks, to serve
- Micro herbs, to serve
Method
- Combine tamari, mirin, olive oil, sesame oil and lime juice, garlic and ginger in a small bowl. Whisk to combine.
- Arrange fish beautifully on a platter, drizzle over a little of the dressing and top with radish and micro herbs. Finish with remaining dressing to serve.
