A simple breakfast of jam on toast can so easily move from simple to healthfully decadent and abundant in nutrients too with this delicious jam. It’s heavenly on top of a sourdough or seed bread with a dollop of coconut yoghurt and some extra fruit such as banana or kiwifruit.

Serves: 4-6

Ingredients

Method

  • 200g mixed berries
  • ½ tsp orange zest
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp chia seeds
  • 3 tbsp hemp seeds
  1. Combine berries, orange zest, vanilla and maple syrup in food processor or blender and blitz to uniform consistency.
  2. Remove from blender and stir through chia and hemp seeds.
  3. Place in fridge to set for 4–6 hours. Keeps in fridge up to 2 weeks.
